Calling it Home

Mimi, your tips are always great. I would like to know if garden flowers need different care when making arrangements?

That's a great question. I haven't made arrangements with flowers straight from a garden. But one thing I wanted to mention re caring for hydrangeas. They should be cut either early in the morning or near the end of the day. Not when the sun is beating down on them. There's a great book I refer to when I have a question about caring for flowers. Oddly enough it's called, "Garden To Vase: Growing and using your own cut flowers" by Linda Beutler. It's a $30 book, but worth every cent. Hope this helps!

It's a really cool blog. Wish I had time to read it more often!
