Here are some green designer centerpieces to help you celebrate St. Patrick's Day:
1) Caplan Miller - I wonder how many hydrangeas it took to make this "Hydrangea Hedge." It makes quite a floral statement doesn't it?
2) Shane Carpenter - The moss covered spheres are quite elegant perched above these tables.
3) BHG - This is a very hard centerpiece to make. Take interesting green leaves and place them in appropriate cylinder vases. Period.
4) Ginny Boland - More moss plus succulents coupled with rectangular white candles. Simple and chic!
5) Martha Stewart - A stunning arrangement using hosta leaves. But you can use any type of foliage with long enough stems.

How do you think they made that hydrangea runner? Tied all the stems together?

That's a great question. I don't really know. Hydrangeas are very thirsty flowers. You could just wire them together, but the space would need to be pretty cool, because hydrangeas are very sensitive to temperature. If it gets too warm they will collapse. There are floral foam forms made especially for garland. If I were doing the hydrangea hedge, I would certainly use them. Unless I had tons of money to hire people to wire them not long before the event.

I really love that "difficult" arrangement with those vibrant leaves in the cylinders. Very modern and chic.
