Create This Orange Rose Flower Arrangement
You'll need:
- Roses (all same color and height)
- Wide neck vase
- Stones
- Water
- Floral preservative
Cut the roses and place each immediately into water with floral preservative for at least 30 minutes. Read "10 Secrets for Keeping Fresh Flowers Alive Longer"
Fill the vase with water.
Place a few clean stones or marbles on the bottom of the vase as a decorative element. They will also help keep the roses in place.
Cut one rose so that the blossom is just above the top edge of the vase. The bottom of the stem should be on the the bottom of the vase.
Cut each rose the same height and place in water.
Keep adding roses until the vase is full.
Tip: Good quality roses will eventually open and fill the vase. So you may ultimately need less roses for each. But don't be cheap with the amount you use or your arrangement will look skimpy.
Fill the vase with roses.
What would you add to the bottom of the vase instead of the stones to give the flower arrangement a different look?

I just love this display idea, I relly like how you see the stems through the glass.

This is great! About how many roses do you need....could you get two or three arrangements from a dozen?

I'm sorry. Forgot to include that bit of info. It appears to be nine stems in the vase. These are pretty big rose heads so it must be a rather large vase. If you use a smaller vase, you could probably get away with using 6 roses if they had large blooms. If the heads are smaller you'll need a lot more roses. So you could probably make two of these arrangements with one dozen roses. Hope that helps!
